2020 Kia Cadenza Looks A Whole Lot Better After Its Facelift
The new 2020 Kia Cadenza will be presented in U.S.-guise at the Chicago Auto Show complete with more striking looks and a host of new features.
First unveiled in South Korea in mid-2019, the facelifted Kia Cadenza features a set of new multi-lens LED headlights with redesigned LED daytime running lights, a redesigned hood, new front grille with a vertical waterfall fascia, a redesigned rear bumper and trunk lid, new LED taillights, and a different lower front fascia.
More changes will be found inside. For example, U.S. models receive a brand new dashboard and instrument cluster, a standard 4.2-inch TFT display in the instrument panel, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, multi-color ambient LED mood lighting, two Nappa leather-trimmed seating colors (Saddle Brown and Gray), three additional USB ports, an enhanced 10-watt wireless fast-charging phone charger, and a new Smart Key as standard with remote engine start.
Kia’s updated Drive Wise suite of driver-assistance technologies will also be present. Included is Forward Collision Warning, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist with pedestrian/cyclist detection, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, High Beam Assist, Lane Following Assist, Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Highway Driving Assist, Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control, and Safe Exit Assist that alerts the driver and passengers opening their doors to not exit if approaching traffic is detected.
2020 Kia Cadenza models will be sold exclusively with a 3.3-liter V6 engine delivering 290 hp through the front wheels and connected to an eight-speed Sportmatic transmission. The car will be sold in Technology and Limited trims.
“The Cadenza continues to introduce new and luxury-minded customers to the Kia brand,” Kia Motors America president Michael Cole said. “We recognize there are many customers who don’t want or need an SUV, but still desire a vehicle with plentiful interior room and a large trunk. The Cadenza is the perfect choice for these people and the refreshed 2020 model is well-suited to their needs.”
